Allen Daniels is a Hawaiʻi Island native and co-founder of Paws University, West Hawaiʻi's premier dog training, boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in Kailua-Kona.
His career in animal behavior began in the late 1980s at Dolphin Quest, Hilton Waikoloa Village, where he trained under the industry's leading marine mammal experts and earned his credentials as a professional dolphin trainer in 1992. He applied those same science-backed methods — including Operant Conditioning — to dog training, founding Paws University in 1999 and opening the full campus in 2002 as the first doggie daycare in the state of Hawaiʻi.
Since 1999, Allen has specialized in separation anxiety, aggression, destructive behavior, and socialization — building trust between dogs and their owners using methods refined working with 500-pound marine mammals.
